Road Bike Routes

Leisure Bike Routes

For a relaxed and leisurely day out on the bikes, Lanzarote boasts the longest beachfront in Europe, connecting the two popular holiday resorts of Costa Teguise and Puerto del Carmen with the island’s capital, Arrecife. The cycle lane is 25kms end to end, or around a 2 hour cycle each way. Alongside glorious sandy beaches, there are plenty of opportunities for a pit stop en route: lunch in the capital’s modern marina, shopping at the Saturday morning market, or a visit to one of Arrecife’s historic castles.

This route can be enjoyed by everybody: since there are no roads or big hills to navigate, it’s cycle friendly for novice riders too.

Mountain Bike (MTB) Routes

Lanzarote offers year round mountain biking opportunities with our mild climate and rugged landscape. From light cross country, including gravel roads and 4×4 trails, to the more adventurous Enduro style riding on the Northern trails, the best way to see the island’s true beauty is to get off the beaten track and explore.

The Mountain Bike (MTB) routes require a good base level of fitness and intermediate skill level of riding. GPX route files are ready to download below, since the trails are unmarked, this is the best way to navigate the routes.
